Fat Zero News

November 11, 2006- Well it has been almost a year, wow. My bad. First, without getting into the politics of The Maplewood, as you all know Bill and I are not playing there. Tom is not to blame 'Nuff said. Next, Bill and I are finally healthy enough to get back after it. Our first gig is an old haunt, The Mine Tavern in Nelsonville on Turkey Day. We do have 1 more show booked. It is in Logan at The Home Tavern. Bill and I love to play there, everyone is great and they treat us like rock stars. Hope to see you soon.

Later- Spencer

January 14, 2006- The Maplewood gig is going great. Everyone there is awesome and the food is incredible. Bill and I are going to be there until Tom gets sick of us. We start at 8 PM, get there early for a table. Jan. 26 Shrley King will be at the Maplewood, so Bill and I will get the night off. Tickets are only $6.00 in advanced. Contact The Maplewood for more details.

See You Thurday,

Spencer

December 31, 2005- Bill and I are now playing at The Maplewood Inn in Athens every Thursday night. They have excellent food. The nachos from hell are great, the wings are the best in town, and the burgers are huge. The grill shuts down around 9, fryers around 10. Get there early for a table and have a bite. We love the crowd. Tom and everyone there treat us like kings.

See You Thursday,

Spencer

November 5, 2005- Well as you all probably know by now the band is no longer together. Bill and I are still playing acoustic shows. They will be posted as they are booked. We rock just as hard so don't be fooled by the "acoustic" tag. Thanks to everyone who has stuck with us through all this. Look for Acoustic Armageddon coming to a venue near you.

Rock On

August 21, 2005- We had 2 great weekends in Lancaster. As usual the Lancaster fans rocked. Hopefully The Global Domination Tour will be back in Lancaster in November and December. Next up is the Elk's Beer Garden. Last year was a great time and this year should be just as fun. Get there early and hold on to your pitcher. Last year the beer was sold out within the first hour and a half or so. We start at 8:30.

See Ya

August 4, 2005- What a month July was! We met some great new fans at Jack's in McArthur. What a fun place. We, as always, had a great time at The Home Tavern. The Diamondfest, well, where should I start? If you want to have the best time of the summer you need to go to the Diamondfest 06. 8 incredible bands for just 5 bucks. It started at 3, the last band went on at 11:00, we went on at 7. I hope we will be invited back! Nick Collura of Insea Sound was the perfect host. It had the most laid back feel that you could imagine. I was up till 5 AM playin "coustics" with all the other musicians from the other bands. If you were there you heard some great stuff. So next year you all need to be at the D06!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Global Domination Tour is in Lancaster Sat. Aug. 13 (Taverne @ The Mill) and Sat. Aug. 20 (Coach's Corner). Hope to see all of our Lancaster Pose there.

Party On Garth

July 1, 2005- First of all we would like to thank Josh and his family and friends for having us at his birthday party. Everyone there was great and we had an awesome time, even if it didn't rain. Thanks go out to all of Josh's neighbors for not calling the "MAN". Oh, but wait someone did. I won't mention his name for fear of litigation, I guess the guy is not quite right. Hopefully he'll get a second chance next year. We are off this weekend to celebrate our nations birthday. Our thoughts go out to all the great men and women who are over there making sure we can do what we do. We could never pay back the debt all of us owe them. If any of you know anyone over there thank them for Fat Zero for doing what they do. Nuff said. We are at a new venue on the 9th. Check our Show Dates page for a mapquest link to the bar.

June 19, 2005- The Past couple of weekends have been incredible, thanks to all of you guys. We appreciate all of the support from everyone. The fun has only begun. We have a great summer lined up. May 22, 2005- It's only 6 days until Cardo's. This will be our first time playing Cardo's so we are really stoked. We hear that the place rocks. We usually add a couple of new songs to the set list for every show and this one is no exception. Cardo's is also a restaurant so come early and have a bite before the show. Their menu is on their web site. The menu is filled with appetizers, subs, sandwiches, pasta, and pizza. I think I'll have the lasagna dinner. This should be a tasty stop on The Global Domination Tour.

Hope to see you there, Later

May 3, 2005 - We have confirmed the Captain Woody's gig. It is Sunday June 12, 2005. We are playing from 3:00 - 7:00. This is a rare Sunday afternoon show for us. We are really stoked about this gig. Captain Woody's is right on Buckeye Lake so if you have a boat you'll have a great parking spot. There are a few dock spaces so show up early and tie off. We are ready to kick off summer with a great show.

Get ready for a great summer, Later

I'm trying to find out how to contact them so I can talk to them about their show. If any one has heard them drop me a line on the guest book or e-mail me;spencer@fatzero.net. Bill has put on his Pro Fisherman Cap this week to fish the Nationals in Kentucky. Just another layer to Bill, he's like an onion. Just joking Bill, good luck. We are all ready to get back out there to rock all of your teeth loose. If you're on the West Side of Columbus on the 6th or 7th of May, stop by Shannon's Pub and have a drink with us.

Hope to see all of you very soon, Later

April 7, 2005 - Today we confirmed a really cool gig, The Slow Joe's Bike Show. We will be playing from 5:30 to 7:30. The Burnt River Band will headline. They are a band that has been around forever it seems. They Play all the major Bike Shows. Slow Joe's is held at the Perry County Fairgrounds in New Lexington. Keep Rockin', Later

April 6, 2005 - It's hump day and I'm bored so I thought I would catch up on some updates. We recorded a new demo, in March, for our promo pack. The old one when didn't get our edge like we wanted. We have added quite a few new tunes and thought they should be recorded. We only got one of our originals recorded though. If you go to the "Book The Band" link you can hear "Warning Labels". We had a great time recording it thanks to some awesome people. The Hocking College Multitracking class did all the setup, recording, mixing, and editing. Hell they even "Roadied" for us. They did a killer job. The studio was all digital and it was really cool to see it all go down. We would like to thank: Brynn, Ryan, Craig, Estaban, Zach, Bob, Matthew M., Tucker, Matt W., Travis, Tim, Rob, Ash, and Hil . You Guys did a great job. It has gotten us 4 gigs so far. Thanks to Greg O'brien. Greg is the instructor at Hocking. If you would like to contact Greg to schedule a recording session e-mail him at:obrien_g@hocking.edu. He will get you all the lucid details. Sometime this fall we plan on returning to record our originals. Hope to see all of you October 1 at the Student Center. Stop by and say hey.

Until next time keep your feet on the ground, later

April 3, 2005- You are probably wondering "what's up" with Fat Zero. Well lots of stuff is "up". We have great news from Mike. He is the proud father of beautiful baby girl. She was born early Saturday morning. We have been and will be taking the rest of the month off so the new family can settle in. That has been the reason for our lack of dates.

We will be adding a few new songs to the show with our time off and are asking you, the fans, for song suggestions. Just go to the Guestbook and leave your song there. It's all about you guys, we couldn't do this with out your support.

Check back frequently, we will be updating our news page every Sunday.
